Thanks for visiting my blog! I called this blog “Marketing Masala”, because masala is a term commonly used in Indian or South Asian cuisine and it refers to the combination of aromatic spices — such as coriander, tumeric, ginger, cinnamon, chillies and cumin – which flavour a curry dish.   Much like a fragrant curry makes the mouth water, the right combination of marketing tactics can pull your customers or prospects in and entice them to sample your products.

Marketing these days is moving away from traditional outbound techniques to inbound strategies such as search engine optimization and collaborative social media networks.  To  be effective, therefore, marketing professionals need to know how to combine many elements of the marketing mix in order for their brands, products and services to be well-positioned online and garner greater market-share.

I hope you’ll  find this “masala” of marketing ideas, tips and tactics helpful in moving your business forward and I warmly welcome your thoughts, questions, and comments on this blog.
